The day before your trek begins you will be brought by private car from Medan airport to Ketambe, stopping for lunch along the way. This will allow you to have a well-rested night before embarking on your adventure. On your first day of trekking, enjoy breakfast at your guesthouse around 8 am. Travel light with a small backpack, leaving the bulk of your luggage in a secure room at Safar's house. Safar will meet you at the guesthouse and provide you with leech socks to put on. This is also a great time to ask any final questions. Everyone should be ready to depart by 9 am. Safar will be your guide, leading you to the National Park entrance and into the jungle, navigating through a network of trails. You'll spend several hours trekking and keeping an eye out for orangutans and other wildlife before reaching a camp by the river for lunch. After lunch and a brief break, venture back into the forest with just your camera and water bottle to explore and spot more animals in the afternoon. If you have a special desire to witness a particular animal or a unique view of the jungle, feel free to share with your Safar or his team. Their trained eyes and deep connection to this habitat make them skilled trackers, ready to fulfill your wildlife aspirations. In the evenings, you can take a refreshing swim and wash in the river. Meanwhile, Safar and the team will prepare dinner and boil water for drinking. Later, you can engage in activities like playing cards, reading, chatting, or simply relaxing and immersing yourself in the ambiance of the jungle.
